In an effort fueled by renewal & growth, fuel economy and the perpetual increase in online shopping DHL Express took delivery of a brand new Boeing 777F-200 at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The latest aircraft continues a fleet renewal that began back in 2018 with four 777’s arriving in 2018/19 and ten scheduled to join the fleet this year and next.
In what is a significant order for Boeing also represents a significant investment in modernization from DHL in bringing the best in technology and economy to their intercontinental air freight fleet. Global air freight numbers have not seen their best results in recent years but this places DHL into a very strong position for the new decade ahead.

The fuel-efficient jets are a marvel when compared with the previous generation of aircraft especially when comparing today’s freighters specifically to a comparable plane built twenty or even ten years earlier. The reduction in carbon emissions and improved fuel consumption are both key components of the company’s Strategy 2025 program to enhance profitability but also reduce environmental impact.
The B777F offers a payload capacity of 102 tons and a range of over 5,500 miles, boasting the largest capacity and overall range of all twin-engine freighter aircraft. Overall DHL Express runs a fleet of more than 250 aircraft across more than 200 different countries. Look out for one of the newest brightly colored DHL jets at an airport near you soon.
